Apparently, there were some pretty Groovy revelations last weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con. It would seem as one of the most well-loved horror icons will be making his way to our televisions sometime soon.
According to Bloody Disgusting, during the panel for The Last of Us at Comic-Con, director Sam Raimi revealed the he is currently working on an Evil Dead television series.
The good news is, not only working on the project with his brother Ivan, but he is also working on the project with the man himself, Bruce Campbell.
In case that isn’t cool enough for you, Campbell unveiled some pretty Groovy news on his Twitter account.
In response to a fan who asserted the feeling, which I am sure is shared by many Evil Dead fans around the world, that if Bruce Campbell wasn’t taking up the reins of the popular Ash character once again that they would not be interested in the new series.
Campbell’s response should sound like music to the ears of all Evil Dead fans.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. It looks as if the plan is for Bruce Campbell to take the lead in the new series once it comes into fruition.
Now, at this point and time there are not a lot of details available about the new series. I mean, it was just announced after all. One would imagine that as the details begin to get ironed out, more information will make its way to the internet which will obviously bring the big picture into view.
Until then, we can all sit back and think about how utterly amazing it will be to see Bruce Campbell back in action once again in an adaption of one of the best cult classic films of all time.
