WWE has been loading up on talent from the independent circuit as of late, and one of the names that has been rumored to be a part of this renaissance has been the highly talented Prince Devitt. Well now we do indeed have confirmation that the company has inked a deal with the international star, as they announced the signing on their official website.
“This is something I’ve been looking forward to since I was maybe four or five years old,” Devitt told WWE.com last week, while preparing for the trip in his home country of Ireland. “I grew up watching wrestling my whole life, so to get the chance to step in the ring that I’ve watched on TV so many times is a dream come true.”
Devitt has been one of the hottest free agents on the pro wrestling market for the past few years, and he has finally made it to the big time.
Of course, he’ll more than likely be headed down to NXT first, but it should not be long before we see this young man up on the main roster, dazzling audiences on the main roster.
The only question now is whether or not they will let him keep the gimmick of being one of the most artistic wrestlers that you will ever see in a ring.
