Tusk: Justin Long’s horrific transformation begins in first trailer (Video)

We may have to wait until September to witness the latest horror thriller from director/writer/producer Kevin Smith entitled Tusk, but thankfully, that doesn’t mean that we have to wait that long to get our first look at the creepy new film.

As you know, last weekend was the worldwide phenomenon known as the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.

This is where anyone who is anyone in the entertainment industry goes to unveil the latest and greatest of their projects.

At the Con this year, Smith and company unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming film.

This is going to be the kind of creepy tale that could only come from the mind of someone like Kevin Smith. The trailer for the film shows Justin Long as Wallace Bryton, a pod-caster who takes a trip to Canada to interview an elderly man who claims to have an interesting tale to tell.

When Bryton heads off to the great, white North he leaves behind his best friend and podcast partner Teddy Craft and Bryton’s girlfriend Allison. When Bryton doesn’t return from his trip, the two of them begin a feverish search to find their friend.

Things start out perfectly normal as Bryton sits down with Howard Howe, a mysterious man who has tales of the sea that he wants to share with the world. Suddenly, Bryton realizes that he has been slipped something in his tea that render him incapable of moving.

Before he has any idea what is going on, he finds Howe in the horrific process of transforming Bryton into a Walrus. This has to be one of the most twisted ideas that I have heard of, but it is certainly enough to spark my interest.

Why don’t you take a look for yourselves? Here is a look at the first trailer for the upcoming horror thrilled Tusk.

The film has plenty of recognizable names in the cast. Tusk stars Alpha House’s Haley Joel Osment, Drag Me To Hell actor Justin Long, Ralph Garman, Michael Parks, Genesis Rodriguez, Harley Morenstein, and more.

Tusk is scheduled to be released on September 192014.
