On Tuesday, the Red Raiders landed another 4-Star prospect when offensive tackle Conner Dyer gave his pledge to the Red Raiders.
“It wasn’t easy,” said Dyer via Daniel Paulling of 24/7 Sports. “I’ve been around the country looking at schools just to make sure. And I’m glad I was able to do that so I can say for sure that this is the best decision.”
The 6’4, 276-pound Dyer is from Mesquite, Texas and attends Horn High School. According to Horn coach Mike Overton, the Red Raiders’ staff built an excellent reationship with Dyer.
“The staff did a super job with him,” Overton said. “They built a great relationship. They showed a genuine interest in him and his family. I think he and his family both believe that they maybe were the most genuine of all the schools.”
Dyer is the country’s 21st-ranked offensive tackle prospect, the 35th-ranked overall prospect in the state of Texas and the 233rd-ranked prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. Dyer also holds offers from the Baylor Bears, LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeys, Oklahoma Sooners, Stanford Cardinal, and Texas A&M Aggies, among others.
