Four-star and Elite Eleven recruit Will Grier once threw for 837 yards and 10 touchdowns in a single game in high school. But that was high school. If you want to stay in the public eye at a major college football power without getting arrested, you need to get creative.
That is exactly what Florida super-frosh and QB hopeful Will Grier did in practice. You simply have to see it to believe it.
That kind of athleticism is hard to come by, for sure. I want to know, was this stunt approved by Will Muschamp?
Grier put up some gaudy numbers in high school. He racked up 14,565 career passing yards and 195 touchdowns. He was named Parade’s High School Player of the Year last season.
He did not waste any time getting to Gainesville. He enrolled early to try and learn as much as he could.
While this stunt may or may not move him up the depth chart, you have to think that the clever Muschamp will use this kind of talent to his advantage.
Incumbent QB Jeff Driskel is the undisputed starter to open the season, but as anyone who has followed Florida football for the last couple of years knows, he has had his struggles. How long can he keep Grier on the sidelines?
