Bulls’ Derrick Rose: Health is ’11’ on scale of 1-10
By Sam Richmond
After a torn meniscus in his right knee forced him to miss the majority of the 2013-14 NBA season, Derrick Rose is back and better than ever, the star point guard revealed while preparing for the FIBA World Cup with Team USA on Thursday.
Rose isn’t the only guy involved with Team USA talking up his performance.

Assistant coach Jim Boeheim heaped enormous praise at Rose on Wednesday, via ESPN Chicago.
"The one thing I was worried about is whether he would be able to step in after so much time [off]. He looks, to me, as good as when we had him in the world championship in ’10, when he was at full strength coming [into] an MVP year. He looks very, very good. Obviously, [when] he gets in some games, it will be a little different, but it’s not like he hasn’t had success in games. He had a lot of success.“He’s been the most impressive guy here.”"
All of this is obviously excellent news for the Chicago Bulls (and, of course, Team USA).
Derrick Rose needs to return to elite form and remain healthy if the Bulls are to compete for an NBA championship, a sentiment echoed by the team’s general manager Gar Forman and coach Tom Thibodeau, according to ESPN Chicago.
Since being selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2008 draft, Rose has averaged 20.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.
