The Detroit Tigers are lurking in the trade market, looking to pounce on the right deal — perhaps more than one — as the 11th hour of the deadline period is in full swing.

More from Boston Red Sox

One trade that the Tigers are in on is a David Price trade that would land him on arguably the best staff in all of baseball, should he be acquired. But another trade at being discussed at the moment is one that would send Andrew Miller to the Tigers in order to bolster their bullpen even further during their postseason push.

According to Bruce Levine, the Tigers have the strongest interest in acquiring Miller from the Red Sox out of all the teams showing an interest in the relief pitcher.

Detroit already acquired Joakim Soria from the Texas Rangers earlier in the month and adding Miller to the bullpen would give Detroit options to lean on other than the so-so reliable Phil Coke and Joe Nathan. If all four arms are firing in tip-top condition though, then the Tigers might end up having the strongest late season bullpen in all of baseball.
