This season as the Atlanta Falcons look to rebounds from what was a miserable campaign in 2013, they will have the main piece of their offense back in wide receiver Julio Jones. Jones missed the 2013 season with a broken foot, and as he looks to make sure he protects that foot, he will be sporting some special foot attire designed specifically for him by Under Armour.

More from Atlanta Falcons

Jones recently shed some light about the cleats in a talk with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Under Armour built me a cleat from the ground up,” Jones said after practice Thursday. “It’s working good for me. They made it wider. There’s a steel shank the bottom as well. They made a great cleat for me.”

“It’ didn’t take long to get used to them,” Jones said. “Not at all. You can put anything on my feet. Football is football. I’ve been playing it for so long. I’ve just got to have something that’s comfortable. You can break in anything if you wear it long enough, but there was nothing to get used to at all.”

While the Falcons certainly had a lot of issues to deal with in 2013 that led to them being at the bottom of the NFC South, the absence of Jones was probably the most noticeable of all.

Now with the new shoes, you definitely won’t miss him on the field this season.
