Giants’ Corey Washington, Bennett Jackson injured at practice
By Brian Miller
The New York Giants are hoping to turnaround a not so thrilling 2013 campaign. Training camp will go a long way into setting positions that will make that wish a reality. Today the team watched wide receiver Corey Washington leave the field with an undisclosed injury and cornerback Bennett Jackson leave the field with a leg injury.

The injuries were reported by media on Twitter who were at the practice today. There has been no release of information regarding the extent of either players injury.
Washington was claimed off waivers from the Cardinals after being signed to an un-drafted free agent contract. The Giants were hoping that the 6’4″ wide out from Division II Newberry College could show enough to make the teams practice squad. He wasn’t a legitimate candidate for the teams final 53. He was seen being attended to by trainers.
Bennett Jackson another rookie was sidelined with a left leg injury according to another Tweet by the New York Daily News’ Ebenezer Samuel.
Bennet is a long shot to make the Giants final 53 man roster but if he does, it will likely be on special teams. The Giants are deep at corner and boast seven players with veteran experience at the position. Neither injuries if serious will impact the teams roster but could impact the players ability to find a future with the franchise on the practice squad.
