Since then, McGraw has received a lot of attention, most notably from the Alabam Crimson Tide. Head coach Nick Saban and assistant Billy Napier visited McGraw just two weeks after his commitment, then camped with the Tigers in June. On Thursday, McGraw did what many have expected him to do for some time when he decommitted from the Bulldogs and pledged to the Crimson Tide.
“As of last night, I decommitted from Georgia and committed to Alabama,” McGraw told 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons on Thursday.
McGraw’s parents believed Alabama was always the right place for him and after he sat down and listened to them – along with Saban and assistant Kevin Steele – McGraw flipped his commitment.
“My mom and my parents have always thought Alabama was the best decision for me,” McGraw explained. “I finally decided to hear them out- hear what him, and Coach Saban, and Coach Steele had to say. I listened to my parents and went ahead and finally did it.”
The 6’0, 190-pound McGraw is from Nashville, Tennessee and attends Ensworth High School. He is the country’s 17th-ranked cornerback prospect, the fourth-best overall prospect in the state of Tennessee and the 142nd-ranked overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
McGraw also holds offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tiger and Florida Gators, among others.
The Tide now have 21 commitments and are well on their way to signing the top class in the country once again.
