With Justin Blackmon and Ace Sanders suspended and Cecil Shorts recovering from a hamstring issue, the rookie wideout was one of the players the Jaguars were hoping would be able to help them out during the opening weeks of the season.
Unfortunately, Robinson is expected to miss at least two weeks thanks to a hamstring injury of his own.
The news comes from Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union.
Jacksonville is also without Tandon Doss, who suffered an ankle injury earlier this week.
The latest injuries leave the Jaguars very thin at wide receiver heading in to the preseason opener.
Currently, only rookie Marqise Lee, Mike Brown and Kerry Taylor are healthy enough to take the field.
With all of the suspensions and injury concerns, the Jaguars are wise to leave rookie quarterback Blake Bortles on the bench.
