The Dallas Cowboys have not had a taste of playoff glory in years, but that has not stopped them from planning ahead in the 2014-15 NFL season.

More from Dallas Cowboys

This week, the Cowboys sent out tickets to their season-ticket holders, including tickets for the regular season and playoff games — even the NFC Championship game.

“Included in this package are your 2014 playoff tickets and parking (if applicable) for two potential home games at AT&T Stadium,” a letter to the season-ticket holders read, via ESPN.com. “The barcodes on the tickets will be activated when a home playoff game is clinched and the tickets have been paid in full.”

Well, this will certainly get people talking.

However, before everyone starts laughing at the Cowboys for having overly ambitious hopes for the upcoming season, it is important to understand sending out playoff tickets to the season-ticket holders is something that more teams may start doing in the future thanks to a new NFL policy.

From Darren Rovell of ESPN.com:

But for now, the Cowboys are the only team to pre-print their playoff tickets.

If the Cowboys make their first NFC Championship game since 1995, the fans will already have their tickets in hand. If not, they will have the memory of another disappointing season.
