The Pro Football Hall of Fame will finally induct the first punter in Canton, Ohio on Saturday when Ray Guy gets enshrined in the hallowed halls of the Hall, so could college football finally have its first punter win the Heisman Trophy?

I have about as much of a chance of marrying Kate Upton as that happening, but Texas A&M punter Drew Kaser is going to give it a shot as he launched a Heisman campaign of sorts by sporting a #Kaser4Heisman t-shirt.
You have to appreciate his sense of humor as the Aggies punter hopes to becomce the second player in three years to win the prestigious award, joining former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, now trying to win the starting quarterback job with the Cleveland Browns.
Kaser raised some eyebrows when his head coach Kevin Sumlin invited him to SEC Media Days in July, but Sumlin said he wanted to reward one of the nation’s top punters who could be a rare NFL draft pick at the oft-overlooked position.
Last year Kaser averaged 47.4 yards per punt and boomed one 76 yards in the season opener against Rice and had eight games with a punt that went for at least 50 yards.
The 6-3, 205-pound native of Strongsville, Ohio is not going to win the Heisman, but he should be the front-runner to be named to a number of All-American teams this year and could see increased work with a young offense in College Station this year to really show off that booming leg.
