Their success is starting to pay off on the recruiting trail and on Friday, they landed their first commitment in the class of 2016 when 4-Star wide receiver Cameron Chambers gave his pledge to the Spartans. The 6’3, 195-pounder is from Sicklerville, New Jersey and attends Timber Creek High School.
“Obviously, his size, his route-running (stand out),” Timber Creek head coach Rob Hinson said. “He’s catching the ball better now and he ran track and got more explosive. He’s a pretty complete receiver at the high school level. He’s become a more explosive athlete where he’s not longer just a big 10th grade kid with a great body. He’s really an explosive kid right now.”
Chambers is the country’s 23rd-ranked wide receiver prospect, the fourth-ranked prospect from the state of New Jersey and the 105th-ranked prospect in the class of 2016 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
