Packers’ Jared Abbrederis confirms torn ACL, calls it a ‘small setback’
By Jack Crosby
Former Wisconsin wide receiver Jared Abbrederis was in a position to be one of the breakout rookies in the NFL for 2014. Putting one of the more reliable receivers in college football in an offense like the Packers run, with a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, seemed like the perfect mix. But now, we won’t get to see that, not at least until next year, as Abbrederis confirmed on Saturday that he did indeed suffer the injury.

But, he’s still in great spirits, despite losing his rookie season in the NFL.
We’ll have to wait until next season to see just how much damage Abbrederis can do in the NFC North with the Packers, but there’s still little doubt in people’s minds that he can eventually make an impact for this team after he gets done with the recovery process.
In four years with the Badgers in Madison, Abbrederis made a name for himself as one of the more reliable targets in the game of football, catching 202 balls for 3,140 yards and 23 touchdowns.
