There’s no doubt the NBA’s 2014 rookie class is a confident bunch. From Julius Randle suggesting he should be rated 99 in the 2K15 to the former Kentucky Wildcat suggesting he will be named Rookie of the Year, confidence is sky high.

More from Chicago Bulls

The same can be said for Chicago Bulls rookie Doug McDermott, who along with a handful of other NBA rookies took part in an AMA on Reddit.

All of the rookies were participating in the Panini trading card photo shoot and during their down time (when they weren’t having dunk contests) decided to hop on the internet and answer fan questions.

One such question was presented to Doug McDermott where he was asked about the Chicago Bulls title chances this season. Now, he could have given the rather generic answer of ‘we have to play the games’, but McBuckets wasn’t down with that. Nope, in fact, Doug McDermott couldn’t help but praise his team and suggested that the Chicago Bulls title hopes were ‘pretty good‘.

"I feel like our chances are pretty good. We got a great roster and additions. The east is a lot tougher now and it will be a challenge."

While Doug McDermott did give praise to fellow Eastern Conference teams, he wasn’t shy about giving his Bulls the respect they deserve.

In addition to boasting about their championship hopes, McDermott also suggested he was thrilled to play alongside Derrick Rose.

"It will be great to play with him. He’s great in getting in the lane and drawing attention. The whole team will get a lot of open looks because of him."

Have to think those in the Windy City are thrilled with their rookie.
