The 2014 Commonwealth Games have now given us three memorable moments: The Queen photobombing some Aussie field hockey players, Michelle Jenneke doing what she does and now Usain Bolt dancing to the Proclaimers’ hit “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” before a relay.

More from Track and Field

The Commonwealth Games have been wonderful for people who enjoy random pictures of historical figures lurking behind Australians who participate in obscure sports, female hurdler jiggling and Usain Bolt getting his groove on to half-remembered songs by ’90s one-hit wonders.

Otherwise, um, I don’t know. I’m sure there’s been some amazing athletic competition at the Commonwealth Games. But TV has yet to find a way to make Americans care about the Commonwealth Games so I guess we won’t know about the athletic stuff.

But royal photobombs? All over those. Michelle Jenneke shaking her stuff? Top notch. Usain Bolt demonstrating pure joy before a relay race by dancing to a song that used to drive us nuts because they kept playing it on the radio every five minutes? Totally.

That has been your Commonwealth Games summary. Back to waiting for the NFL to start.
