4-star 2015 LB Jahvoni Simmons to make commitment on Tuesday
One of the most sought-after linebackers in the country, Jahvoni Simmons of Virginia Beach (Ocean Lakes), Virginia, will announce his college choice on Tuesday night. The 4-star linebacker also is choosing between five interesting programs and according to a report, his decision has already been made.

Simmons just wrapped up a weekend at Virginia and some see the announcement of his impending decision as writing on the wall for the Cavaliers to earn his verbal commitment. His comments after the visit were pretty glowing as well.
“It was a good visit,” said Simmons, via Wahoos247. “We had the opportunity to sit down and clear things up with everybody. We are all on the same page now. I had a really good time. It was good catching up with Quin [Blanding]. That’s who I hung out with most.”
He will be choosing between North Carolina State, Virginia, Wisconsin, Alabama and Miami, his original final five schools announced earlier this summer.
It would be another big 4-star get from in-state for UVa, however the coaching staff hasn’t been able to translate talented in-state players in to winning football during the Mike London era. Under London, the Cavaliers are 18-31 and have had just one winning season since he took over in 2010.
Last season the Cavaliers hit bottom at 2-10 overall and 0-8 in ACC play.
Simmons is the No. 143-ranked player by the 247Sports composite rankings, the No. 2-ranked inside linebacker and the No. 7-ranked player in the state of Virginia.
