The Kevin Love trade drama seems like it’s finally going to be coming to an end in the near future — we just have to wait a couple of more weeks for someone to be trade eligible.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

After a month of hearing how Andrew Wiggins is untouchable in a trade, it’s sounding like the only ting holding up the transaction is Wiggins not being able to be traded at the moment per NBA rules. Brian Windhorst from ESPN is at least implying this with his latest report in a radio interview with his colleagues.

In the radio appearance, beside saying that the Kevin Love deal was done and agreed upon handshake style, Windhorst seems to heavily imply that Andrew Wiggins is indeed part of the trade as the entire reason the trade is just a handshake agreement and not an official transaction is because Wiggins can’t be traded until August 23rd.

"“The deal is done, but not done. The teams have agreed, but they can’t say they have agreed and they can’t agree because we are in this weird moratorium period. Because you can’t trade Andrew Wiggins until the 23rd of this month.”"

Unless the two sides want to drag the theatrics of this out for another couple of weeks, one has to be rather completely convinced that Wiggins is part of the deal. The framework of the trade now seems to involve the Philadelphia 76ers, who would get Anthony Bennett for sending Thad Young to the Wolves, but that’s unconfirmed.

Either way, the deal looks to involve Wiggins and that’s something that will make Wolves fans very happy to hear.
