On Monday, it was confirmed that Wilson will be held out of the 2014-15 NFL regular season, but it may be even worse.
The neck burner that ended Wilson’s season before it began is “most likely” going to end his career, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.
Wilson is meeting with his doctor to determine his future, but it doesn’t look good and no one seems to believe that he will be returning to the field.
It is unfortunate for Wilson, who seemed to have such a promising career, however, his long-term health is the most important thing and it would be wise to avoid any risk that could affect his ability to live his every day life moving forward.
For the Giants, there is already a back up plan in place.
With the team bracing for the worst during the offseason as Wilson attempted to make his comeback, they signed running back Rashad Jennings and drafted Andre Williams.
