WWE RAW results, live blog (August 4, 2014): Road to SummerSlam continues
By Jack Crosby
We have officially hit the month of August, which means that WWE SummerSlam is almost here. But before we get there in a few weeks, we still have a few more episodes of RAW to get through, and that counts this Monday night as well.

On Monday’s episode, there will be a lot of questions answered and storylines that will be furthered.
As we saw last week at the end of the show, the match at SummerSlam between Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella is officially set after Brie came out and challenged Stephanie. That challenge was officially accepted by the Billion Dollar Princess, and now we’re off and running with one of the more fun builds in quite some time.
Then there was the situation between Roman Reigns and Randy Orton.
Last week, we saw the old Orton, so to speak. In attacking Reigns, we saw that vicious side of Orton once again as he was beating the former Shield leader all over the arena basically.
And finally, expect a lot more emphasis to be put on the feud between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, which has been rather fun to watch play out since day one.
The reason that you will see all of these maybe get some added emphasis is due to the fact that neither John Cena nor Brock Lesnar will be in attendance to build their title feud even more. This is not one of Lesnar’s contracted dates, and Cena will be off filming his movie again.
But there’s still a lot of excitement on the way, and as always, be sure to check back at this link at 8 PM ET as we’ll provide you all the up-to-the-minute coverage that you need.
WWE RAW:
RAW on Monday night opens up with a video package recapping Randy Orton’s attack on Roman Reigns from last week.
Triple H and Stephanie cut their respective promos and Hunter does a hilarious job of continually plugging the Network, even having the crowd chanting the $9.99 price tag.
Orton takes the mic but he’s interrupted by Roman Reigns who says he took the best the Viper had and he’s still standing. Hunter then announces that Reigns will face Kane tonight in a Last Man Standing Match. And that match starts right now.
