Boston Celtics’ Vitor Faverani hits bus, arrested for DUI
By Bryan Rose
The Boston Celtics are rumored to be in a deal making mode and given their abundance of players, simple math tells you that a handful of talent currently on their roster will no longer be there when the season begins.

Potentially already on the bubble, things aren’t getting any better for center Vitor Faverani who allegedly ran a red light and crashed into a bus in his native Spain. To make things worse, he was reportedly drunk and was arrested for a DUI according to Beantown Shakedown.
"Celtics center Vitor Faverani was arrested in Spain for a DUI charge this weekend according to multiple reports out of Europe. The seven foot Brazilian ran a red light and hit a bus. Faverani was three times above Spain’s blood alcohol limit. Nobody was injured in the accident."
As a rookie last season, Vitor Favernani played in 44 games for the Boston Celtics and produced at a solid, though unspectacular level as he averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. His season was cut short however as a knee injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season.
The NBA doesn’t take to kindly to even the smallest of DUI cases and suspends those who are charged, though being this happened off of United States soil, it’s a bit unprecedented and how the league with react is currently unknown.
Considering nobody was injured it’s unlikely that punishment dished out by the league will be too severe and it’s unknown what the Boston Celtics will do, if anything.
