Dallas Cowboys will welcome back Josh Brent if cleared to return to NFL
By Josh Hill
Josh Brent got his best friend and teammate killed in a drunk driving accident that almost claimed both their lives, and that’s something he’s going to have to live with.

One thing he may not have to live without is a life in football as the Dallas Cowboys continue to stand behind Brent in his recovery from the accident and recovery as a human being from the life changing event that claimed the life of one of their own back in 2012.
According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Dallas Cowboys will be welcoming back Josh Brent whenever he gets his life back together and is ready to rejoin his professional career.
"“We will, yes we will,” Jones said. “In other words, we wouldn’t have it today, but we will make a roster spot.”"
Brent needs to clear a few more hurdles first, mainly that of commissioner Roger Goodell, but should that happen then it sounds like Brent has a place on the Cowboys roster once again. Brent received forgiveness for his crime from the mother of Jerry Brown after the accident happened and while she’s not championing Brent, she’s not demonizing him either which is going a long way with the Cowboys and might go a long way with the league as well.
At the end of the day though, Brent killed a teammate — accident or not — and that’s something that may be forgiven but will never be forgotten.
