Heisman Trophy betting odds 2014: Jameis Winston still favored in updated betting lines

As we inch closer and closer to the college football season, the talk of who has the best chance to win the Heisman Trophy will only heat up even more. More specifically, the talk of whether or not Florida State QB Jameis Winston can repeat as the winner in his sophomore season will get louder, and the folks in Las Vegas tend to think that he can.

The updated Heisman Trophy betting odds were released on Tuesday by Bovada, and Winston still sits right at the top of the board as he gets set to lead the Seminoles on what they hope will be a national championship charge.

Right behind him is Oregon’s dynamic quarterback, Marcus Mariota, who is aiming to stay as healthy as he possibly can to not only help get the Ducks back to national title contention, but take the trophy away from Winston.

And coming in third in the updated odds is Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller, who has been a preseason Heisman contender for the past three years of his career in Columbus.

Here’s a look at how the latest betting lines stacked up:

  • Jameis Winston: 9/2
  • Marcus Mariota: 6/1
  • Braxton Miller: 15/2
  • Bryce Petty: 12/1
  • Brett Hundley: 14/1
  • Todd Gurley: 14/1
