According to the Seattle Times, 2013 fifth-round pick Luke Wilson is “primed to make more of an impact” this year.
Wilson, who registers 6-foot-5, 251 pounds, certainly has the size that the Seattle Seahawks could be looking for in the red zone, especially after the loss of Sidney Rice to retirement. However, it remains to be seen just how much Wilson can make his impact on the field felt.
The report also mentioned Cooper Helfet, who was on the practice squad a year ago, as a player who has been catching every pass thrown his way and someone to keep an eye on.
Seattle is once again a favorite to make a deep run in the postseason as they defend their Super Bowl title, so we will have to see just how much the lesser known players can contribute on the field when the regular season comes around.
