The Milwaukee Bucks know they need to make some changes if they’re going to compete in a small market and overpaying role players isn’t the way to go about that. So, the team has reportedly put a number of players on the block in recent weeks, one of them being forward Ersan Ilyasova.

More from Golden State Warriors

It wasn’t all that long ago when Ersan Ilyasova was morphing into a very talented forward but for whatever reason, he seemingly hit a wall and his stagnated. Is it Milwaukee? Or is it Ilyasova? Hard to tell, but it seems as if their marriage may not last much longer.

There have been multiple teams to express mild interest in Ersan Ilyasova though Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders wonders if he wouldn’t be a fit for the Golden State Warriors.

"I wonder if Ersan Ilyasova could be a possibility. The Bucks would move him for the right price and his value isn’t as high as it once was. He could be someone that’s attainable and would be able to fill that stretch four role for Golden State."

Ilyasova isn’t your typical power forward who spends most of his time banging bodies in the paint, so needless to say he’s limited as to where he could play as he needs a more offensive oriented system that uses a stretch four. Few teams use that style of play more than the Golden State Warriors, so he certainly would seem to be a worthy addition.

Salary issues may be a problem for the Golden State Warriors considering Ilyasova is due $7.9 million dollars both this year and next and holds a $8.4 million dollar option in 2016-17, though that can be bought out for $400,000.
