The calendar has flipped over to August and NHL training camps are a little over a month away. There are still some salary negotiations going on and several UFAs have yet to find teams for the 2014-15 season, but the big offseason moves are done and we have a clear image of how teams are shaping up for the upcoming NHL season.

On free agent day, even the smallest moves make headlines and are scrutinized, but several teams made big moves during the 2014 offseason that will make them contenders during the 2014-15 season, as well as have big ramifications for their long-term future.
