Although he was one of the most dynamic players in the college ranks the past few years, there were a lot of questions surrounding Chiefs rookie De’Anthony Thomas and whether or not he could play at the NFL level. Well right off the bat, he’s already proving everyone wrong.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

In the team’s preseason debut on Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, Thomas took a punt back 80 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter, showing everybody that he’s the same player that he was at Oregon.

He can crush your hopes and dreams, anytime that he pleases, with the use of his stellar moves when he has a football in his hands.

There’s no doubt that this young man could end up being a huge addition for a Chiefs team that, as we saw last season, is a definite Super Bowl contender. They may have had one of the biggest chokes in playoff history against the Colts, but just the fact that they were able to get there really showed something.

Special teams is a huge part of any championship team, and this is where Thomas will obviously pay some of his dividends.
