The UFC 178 event seemingly can not come fast enough. After a whirlwind past two weeks that saw the main event change, the new challenger get into a brawl with the champion, and a ton of trash talk exchanged between the two men, September 27th is seemingly light years away.
Last night, the hype train continued, stopping for a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live. UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones sat down with the talk show host to discuss his upcoming title defense against No. 1 contender Daniel Cormier at UFC 178 in September.
Of course, the focal point of the interview came when Kimmel asked Jones about the brawl he and Cormier had at the UFC 178 media day earlier this week.
Jones decided to play the ‘nervous’ card, stating that Cormier has never been in a spotlight main event fight with so much on the line. Ultimately, Cormier’s nerves led to him shoving Jones which led to the now infamous brawl.

Later on in the interview Kimmel asked for Jones’ take on UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Kimmel specifically asked whether or not Rousey could beat men, and Jones sidestepped the question beautifully and instead promoted Rousey telling the crowd in attendance to go watch her fights.
