In the big news of the day, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves came to an agreement on a blockbuster trade that will send Timberwolves’ star power forward Kevin Love to the the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers will be sending a future first round pick (it’s rumored to be the pick the Miami Heat owe them in 2015 from the original LeBron James deal in 2010) and the last two number one overall picks, swingman Andrew Wiggins (2014) and forward Anthony Bennett (2013).

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Wiggins is obviously the centerpiece to the Timberwolves and proves just how luck the Cavaliers were to land Love. Not only did LeBron James return to the Cavaliers but before that happened, the Cavaliers landed the number one overall pick in the NBA’s Draft Lottery despite having just the ninth-best odds to do so. That allowed them to select the former Kansas Jayhawks’ star, setting up this deal.

Of course, when the Cavaliers landed Wiggins, many fans probably believed he may be the future of their franchise and immediately went out and bought Wiggins jerseys. If you are one of those fans, there is some good news. You can actually get a full refund for your Wiggins jersey.

Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the Jayhawks last season while shooting 44.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free throw line for the Jayhawks last season.
