And it didn’t take long for the first score of the game.
On the team’s opening drive of the game, quarterback Shaun Hill, who is starting in place of a still recovering Sam Bradford, lead the Rams down field in just seven plays for the first touchdown.
On a 2nd and 9 from the New Orleans’ 16-yard line, Hill found a wide open Cory Harkey in the flat. Harkey then easily strolled his way into the endzone for the Rams’ first touchdown of the 2014 NFL preseason.
You can catch the touchdown for yourself in the image below.
As of this posting, the Rams lead the Saints 7-3 in the first quarter from St. Louis. The touchdown, to this point, has been Harkey’s only reception of the game. With it being a touchdown, you have to assume he’s quite alright with that result thus far.

Mike’s Musings: You shouldn’t read much into anything that happens in preseason, but I just don’t know how someone can be that open. That was one of the easiest touchdowns you’ll see.
