You’ve got to love the humility shown by Giants Software and Focus Home Interactive when it comes to the Farming Simulator series. In the companies’ latest press release for Farming Simulator 15, they say that the first game “confounded all expectations by becoming a real bestseller,” which is a really good way to describe a popular game about running a farm.
That doesn’t mean they don’t know a good thing when they have one, though, which is why Farming Simulator 15 is a thing. Instead of resting on its unlikely laurels, Giants Software spruced up the new version with enhanced graphics, a revamped UI and a big new environment in which to farm. There’s even a new Nordic setting so you can, you know, farm in Nordic countries.
New brands have also joined the fun, including New Holland and Ponsse. Plus there are additional activities like logging to ensure there’s plenty on your farm to keep you occupied.
Farming Simulator 15 will release for PC in October, with console versions due in early 2015. If you simply can’t wait that long to get a feel for what’s new on the farm, no worries: the new reveal trailer shows off all the added goodies, and we’ve got it right here.
