Lundie is the nation’s No. 891 recruit overall regardless of position, No. 103 wide receiver and the No. 85 recruit out of the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He is the first wide receiver to commit to Bo Pelini’s class for 2015 and gives Nebraska the nation’s No. 34 class and the No. 7 class in the Big Ten according to the 247Sports team rankings.
Lundie held offers from Auburn, Missouri and Georgia Tech with the Huskers edging out the Yellow Jackets in the end.
The 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver has great size and bulk to be a possession receiver in Lincoln where he can take advantage of smaller cornerbacks and out-muscle them to get in position and win individual battles for the ball.
He is not what you would consider a burner, but he has enough speed to make the occasional deep catch on the high school level. That will be more difficult to do at the next level, however, as he lacks the separation skills to be a true home run or deep threat.
The area where Lundie will have to thrive will be in short and intermediate routes, but in order to do so will need to refine his route-running, which many high school receivers need to do once they get to college, but once he does, he can be a dangerous weapon because he has strong hands that can make the difficult look routine.
