It took one touch of foreheads and a shove to the throat for Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier to play starring roles in arguably the most discussed pre-fight scuffle in UFC history. This past Monday the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and the division’s number one contender exchanged physical pleasantries at a press conference held inside the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While the exchange continues to buzz throughout the internet and social media sites, Champion Jon Jones stated in an article on Fox Sports News that the touch of foreheads “happens all the time” and referenced the infamous staredown between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen where Silva actually struck Sonnen with his shoulder.

That statement inspired me to dig into the memory bank to recall other memorable pre-fight scuffles from UFC press conferences and weigh-ins. While dozens of instances could be recalled, this list recalls some of the more heated moments from the last few years involving one competitor getting physical with their opponent.
