This is a look that I’m fairly certain will not be catching on with the public at large. The back-of-head goatee? No, I don’t think the young people will be emulating Coco Crisp on this one. This look will remain a Coco Crisp exclusive for the foreseeable future.

I have to say though, if it’s possible for a man to own such a hideous look, then Coco Crisp owns it. And he can have it. Who goes into the barber shop and says, “You know what? Shave my head so it looks like I have a little goatee right above my neck.”
The only group of people I could maybe see adopting this look are the bored hipsters. We could see a whole array of hipster back-of-head facial hair come out of this. How long before some guy has a shaved head with a handlebar mustache on the rear of his skull?
You’re right, that is certainly already happening. The hipsters aren’t ready to unveil it yet but soon enough they will. And Coco Crisp’s head goatee will look like a sign of good sound judgment by comparison.
