Sunday afternoon NASCAR ran the Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen, and when all of the action was all said and done, it was A.J. Allmendinger that came away with the win, holding off Kurt Busch down the stretch, securing his first Sprint Cup victory of his career.

This was one of the wildest finishes of the year, given the fact that there were two red flags within the last 50 laps of the race, including one with less than 10 laps to go, where Allmendinger was able to come out and hold on to the lead.

But with this race being over now, that means that the Chase for the Championship is heating up as we go through the month of August.

With that said, here’s a look at the updated NASCAR Sprint Cup standings after the race at Watkins Glen.
