Tony Stewart being cooperative with police in Kevin Ward Jr. death investigation

One of the most famous names on the NASCAR circuit, Tony Stewart, is in some very hot water after a tragic incident on Saturday night in New York. While running a sprint car race on a dirt track, Stewart struck and killed 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr., not long after Stewart had run his car into the wall. It was one of the most horrific scenes that you will ever see, and also makes you speculate how much trouble Stewart will ultimately be in.

While we won’t know that for a while, more than likely, we were able to find out from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department that Stewart has been very cooperative with them as they begin their investigation of the tragic incident.

Now when they say that Stewart has returned to Watkins Glen, word from his camp has been that he still plans to take part in the race on Sunday, which could change within the next few hours. It should also be noted that Stewart is not under arrest…at this time.

We will have more about this ongoing situation on FanSided as it continues to develop.
