Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall has a little bit of Paul Pierce to him. A day after injuring his back so severely that he wound up temporarily confined to a wheelchair, Hall returned to the practice field for Washington, all chipper and ready to go at it.

More from NFL

Hall may have been slightly embellishing when he told the tale of his back injury via CSNWashington.com:

"“I tried to keep going but couldn’t keep going,” Hall said. “It got to the point where my back locked up so bad I couldn’t even walk. So I got carted off, assisted [into the facility]. I was in a wheelchair. Later in the day I was on crutches and then this morning I was walking. So it’s been a rough 12 hours or so. But I feel good.”"

Hall, ever the soldier, refused to skip practice on Monday to rest the back:

"“They didn’t want me to go out here, but I was like, ‘Nah, I’m going to go out here and do some individual drills, move around a little bit,’” Hall said afterward. “A little bit of pain, but night and day difference from yesterday.”"

It’s just like when Bane beat the crap out of Batman so bad his back was broken, and somehow Batman willed himself to heal his back and climb out of that pit. Yeah DeAngelo Hall, you are a warrior.
