The Big Ten/ACC Challenge has been such a ratings success that other conferences have looked to get in on the idea, and the latest iteration of it is the made-for-TV SEC/Big 12 Challenge. As the challenge enters its second year, there is now the SEC Network in the picture.

The fledgling network will get one game in the two-year-old challenge, as the TV schedule for the event was released on Tuesday. It will be the mighty Texas Tech vs. Auburn matchup that airs on the new SEC Network, taking place on Dec. 3 at 9pm Eastern, and will be the only matchup of the day.

Highlighting the challenge will be a double-header on Dec. 5 with Kentucky vs. Texas at 7p.m. Eastern and Kansas vs. Florida at 9p.m. Eastern—both airing on ESPN.

With only 10 teams in the Big 12, it means that four SEC teams must sit out this challenge. Doing so in 2014 are Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

Last season the challenge went to the Big 12 by a margin of 7-3, with losses coming from West Virginia to Missouri, Texas Tech to Alabama and Kansas to Florida.
