The Boxtrolls: Cool new motion poster unveiled

Most of us know by now what skilled tinkerers the Boxtrolls are and how they absolutely love to disassemble things and turn them into something completely different. Well, the Boxtrolls are about to get just such an opportunity.

Earlier this afternoon, we showed you a new TV Spot for the upcoming animated comedy that introduced you to some of the Boxtrolls and their friend Eggs.

Now, we have a look at a cool new motion poster for the upcoming film that is pretty shocking.

In the motion poster, which you can see below, we watch as one of the Boxtrolls is attempting to turn the lights on and debut the poster to the world. Each time he slams his utensils into what looks like two toasters, a different light will come on.

Finally, with one last slam the Boxtroll receives a mighty shock. On the flip side, at least the lights came on.

Why don’t you take a peek for yourselves? Here is a look at the brand new motion poster for the upcoming film The Boxtrolls.

The film is being directed by Graham Annabele, who worked on projects such as ParaNorman and Coraline, and Anthony Stacchi, who worked on films like Antz and Open Season.

The screenplay for the film is being adapted by screenwriter Irena Brignull. This is the first feature length effort for Brignull. The screenplay is based off of the novel “Here Be Monsters” by Alan Snow.

The Boxtrolls is certainly not lacking in talent when it comes to the film’s voice actors. The cast includes the voice talents of Game of Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead Wright as Eggs and Maleficent actress Elle Fanning as Winnie.

The film also features the voice talents of Ben Kingsley, Simon Pegg, Toni Collette, Jared Harris, Nick Frost, Tracy Morgan, and many more.

The Boxtrolls is scheduled to be released on September 26, 2014.
