Just when you thought your holiday couldn’t get any jollier, news leaked stating that there will be another big matchup taking place on Christmas Day.

More from Chicago Bulls

We’ve already heard about the Golden State Warriors traveling to Southern California where they’ll play the Los Angeles Clippers. That will of course be overshadowed by the highlight of the day, LeBron James’ return to South Beach when the Miami Heat host his Cleveland Cavaliers. But there’s another big game on tap as well.

While the return of LeBron is likely to captivate the viewing audience, they’ll also be treated to a matchup involving the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers which will take place in the Windy City.

There have also been rumors of a potential fourth game involving the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards, though that hasn’t been confirmed. However, it’s not strange for the league to produce four national broadcasts for Christmas Day.

Talk about an impressive lineup of games.

The Chicago Bulls hosting the Los Angeles Lakers will presumably be Carlos Boozer’s first return to his former stomping grounds as well, though shockingly I don’t think that’s going to get near the play of James’ return to South Beach. I wonder why?

More importantly though, it should be a matchup pitting Kobe Bryant against Derrick Rose, something we haven’t seen enough of these past few years due to the injuries suffered by both players. Hopefully they’ll be healthy and we’ll have an epic game between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers after Santa slides down the chimney.
