Chicago Bulls likely to start Jimmy Butler over Doug McDermott

The Chicago Bulls are looking at what they can do with their lineup this year and they have more options than they have had in the past years.

One decision that will need to be made is what to do at the 3, as Jimmy Butler has been growing into a star while rookie Doug McDermott has a ton of upside that the Bulls are going to be looking to tap into much like they did with Butler last season on offense and defense.
According to NBA scribe Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, the Bulls are expected to start Jimmy Butler over Doug McDermott at the 3 this year, as McDermott could prove to be an early defensive liability for Chicago.
"For my money I start Jimmy Butler… I think Doug, especially as a rookie, is going to be a liability defensively. The Bulls are a contender, putting too much on a rookie would be a huge mistake."
Chicago finally has the pieces they’ve been looking for all these years as the team seems to be back to 2011 status when they went to the Eastern Conference Finals. Of course, they need to be better than than team a they got bounced by the Miami Heat, but the Bulls look good this year and it’s possible that Butler could blossom into a star for the Bulls even more so this year than he did last year.
