Henrik Lundqvist makes Vanity Fair's 'Best Dressed' list again

In one of the least surprising developments of the summer, New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has once again been named to Vanity Fair’s ‘Best Dressed’ list. Known as ‘The King’, the Swedish Lundqvist has long been known for two things in New York City: stopping an egregious amount of hockey pucks bound for the net behind him, and a wardrobe fit for, well, a king.

According to the piece, Lundqvist’s favorite article of clothing is a leather jacket, which seems about right. That uber-cool facial hair and steely glare lend themselves to a Fonzi look. His favorite shoes? “Black Ferragamo velvet shoes.” Uh, sure, those are probably cool too.

This is The King’s second time on the list and probably not his last. If you want to make this list, it seems all you need is to be A) famous and B) well dressed. It also doesn’t hurt if you live in New York City as there are only two athletes on the list, those being Lundqivst and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

Henrik Lundqvist will have to put the suits in storage soon enough as the Rangers begin training camp in September. The team is hoping to build on their improbable run to the Stanley Cup Finals, in which they lost to the Los Angeles Kings in five games.
