Just in time for Halloween this year, the highly anticipated fourth season of the creepy hit FX Original Series American Horror Story will be making its return.
Many of our favorite actors and actresses from the previous seasons will be returning for the new season including series staple Jessica Lange, who will be entering her final season with the series.
There are also plenty of new faces that will be joining the ranks when American Horror Story: Freak Show kicks off in October.
The Shield star Michael Chiklis will be joining the series as Dell Toledo, the strongman of the freak show who is the ex-husband of Kathy Bates’ character Ethel Darling, father of Evan Peters’ character Jimmy Darling, and current husband to Angela Bassett’s character Desiree Dupree.
Also joining up this season is The Hunger Games star Wes Bentley, who plays a dark tormentor from the past of Ethel Darling named Eddie and The Americans star John Carroll Lynch who will be playing the demented Twisty the Clown.
Now, there is another name joining the ranks of the highly-popular series who stands to play a pretty big part in the new story. According to TV Line, R&B/Soul singer Patti Labelle will be joining the series.
Labelle’s character, whose name has yet to be revealed, will be playing the role of Gabourey Sidibe’s characters mother. She is described as “is a local townsperson who begins to unravel the murderous secrets of Twisty the clown killer.”
Unfortunately, for those of you who are looking for her to bust out a tune, according to the report she will not be singing in the new season.
Labelle will appear in 4 of the 13 episodes this season.
