The wait is almost over for The Golf Club.
HB Studios announced today that its golf simulation will launch on Xbox One via Xbox Live on August 19. On the same day, the PC version will leave Early Access on Steam and proceed to a full retail release. A PS4 version is currently pending final certification and is expected later this month.
The Golf Club features turn-based, asynchronous online play in several modes, including Tours & Tournaments, stroke play, match play and 4-ball. It also comes with the Greg Normal Course Designer built in, allowing an unlimited number of user-designed courses to be shaped with a full suite of powerful editing tools and uploaded for sharing with other players.
“We are incredibly excited to give golf fans the game they’ve always wanted,” HB Studios producer Anthony Kyne said in a statement. “No other golf game provides players with this level of customization and sophistication in course design on PC and next generation consoles. We’ve worked extremely hard to get The Golf Club ready for launch, so it’s really rewarding to officially announce the launch date and share that with our fans.”
All versions of The Golf Club will retail for $34.99. A full list of launch features is available at www.thegolfclubgame.com.
