Tony Romo could play ‘a few series’ for the Cowboys on Saturday
By Jack Crosby
The Dallas Cowboys opened their 2014 preseason last Thursday with a crushing 27-7 defeat at the hands of the San Diego Chargers. In that game, however, they were without starting quarterback Tony Romo, who the team is keeping safe as he continues to recover from back surgery he underwent this offseason.

Next up for the team is a date this Saturday with the Baltimore Ravens, and in that game, Romo will indeed be suiting up and playing. Potentially, he could play more than one series on offense.
Of course, as Jones stated in the interview, that all depends on the number of snaps the he accrues throughout his time on the field. If his opening drive is, say, 14 plays that spans 90 yards or so, then the chances of seeing him out there for maybe more than one more series are drastically low.
But still, they have to get Romo out there to see how he’s handling everything with the back recovery in a live game situation, and they will get that look on Saturday against one of the better defenses in the league with the Ravens on the opposite side.
