The Ohio State Buckeyes, who finished 12-0 in 2012 but were on probation and did not play in a bowl game. They finished the regular season 12-0 once again last season but were taken down by the Michigan State Spartans in the Big 10 Championship Game, then lost to the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl.
The Spartans, on the other hand, rebounded from an earlier loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, to finish unbeaten in the Big 10 and defeat the Stanford Cardinal in the Rose Bowl.
