Romo stressed that it is important to play in the preseason games to get prepared for the regular season, but considering that Romo is just roughly eight months removed from back surgery it has caused some concern amongst Cowboys fans. When asked if he has felt better recently, Romo suggested that he did while not necessarily giving a direct answer.
“I don’t know that you physically do a whole lot,’’ Romo said, via the Dallas Morning News. “You just kind of go by how your body’s telling you and you go, I guess. There’s no perfect way to say this, I guess, but when you feel good, you go.
“Like I’ve said all along, you continue to strengthen your core and glutes. It’s something you do every day. Stuff gets stronger and you get out there and you feel good and you go.’’
But you have to wonder if Romo is just itching to get back out on the field, he also voiced his excitement.
“I’m excited,’’ Romo said. “I think we’ve got Baltimore on Saturday. It’ll be fun getting into…
“I’m not watching the tape already, but just getting out there and play some football.’’
