Michigan sophomore wide receiver Csont’e York recently got himself into a bit of hot water when he was caught on tape sucker punching someone following an argument over sports, an incident that left the victim with a broken jaw.
If you missed it, you can watch it in the video below.
Now of course, as you would expect, Michigan coach Brady Hoke is not happy with his wideout, however, he recently did note that York will not be removed from the program, but he will be dealt with accordingly.
“There’s no question (he’s still a part of the program), we’re going to go through the process,” Hoke said. “He’s a guy who has been a part of this team, and we’re going to go through the process.
“His status hasn’t changed.”
Now York has admitted to investigators that he did indeed sucker punch the victim, which is obvious from the video above, but he stated that he did it out of fear because the victim was intimidating his friend that he was with.
Whether or not that’s the case, that’s up for the court and police to decide going forward. But there’s no doubt that Hoke had a long talk with his receiver about making better choices when he is out in public.
