American Horror Story: Freak Show premiere date announced

It seems as if the hit FX Original Series American Horror Story will be back in full swing just in time for Halloween this year.

FX announced earlier today that the fourth season of the creepy horror series, which has been subtitled Freak Show, will premiere on Wednesday, October 8th on the cable network.

A good number of your favorite actors and actresses from the previous seasons of the series will be making their way to the Freak Show in all new roles.

Series staple Jessica Lange, who has been with the series since the very beginning, will be entering her final season on the show. Joining Lange in her final season are people like Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Jamie Brewer, Denis O’Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, and many more will be returning to the series.

American Horror Story has also picked up a few new faces along the way that will be joining the Freak Show on its new journey. The Hunger Games actor Wes Bentley has been brought on to play a tormentor from Ethel Darling’s (Bates) past.

Also joining this season is John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the killer clown, R&B/Soul singer Pattie LaBelle as Gabourey Sidibe’s character’ mother, and Michael Chiklis as strongman Dell Toledo.

Series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk seem to outdo themselves each and every season, bringing fans an experience unlike any other on television right now. They have since promised to bring fans a “very different” type of season this time around, and we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait.

American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres on Wednesday, October 8th at 10:00 p.m. on FX.
